About Dr. Smith
Dr. Smith is a dual board certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult psychiatrist committed to providing culturally sensitive, patient centered, compassionate care to youth and adults for various psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma related disorders, ADHD, and health/fitness related wellness.
Her approach is individualized, integrated with both psychotherapy and/or medication treatment, with integration of collaboration with patients and their support systems.
Her education includes completion of Medical School at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine; General Psychiatry Residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Rochester.
In addition to her private practice, she works in emergency and consult settings in the New York City and Western New York areas.

Dr. Smith currently does not accept insurance. Appointments are out of pocket and pricing varies depending on appointment type

Prospective patients are welcomed to call or email the practice of Dr. Smith for a free consultation.
Initial Evaluation
The comprehensive initial evaluation is an opportunity for Dr. Smith to gather important information, including a psychiatric, medical, developmental, and social history.
FOR YOUTH: Two 60-minute initial evaluation appointments, which includes time with youth and parents/guardians. Additional information and contact will be pursued with pediatrician, school and therapist, as needed.
FOR ADULTS: One to two 60-minute initial evaluation appointment(s) as indicated. Additional information and contact will be pursued with the primary care provider, therapists, and family, as needed.
An INDIVIDUALIZED treatment plan will be completed during this appointment.
Follow-up Appointments
At the start of treatment, follow-up appointments are scheduled every 1-4 weeks based on the patient’s symptoms and treatment plan. Follow-up appointments range from 25-50 minutes. Appointments are spaced out gradually as symptoms stabilize.
